How to Use & Care for Soy Candles
Good candle care supports both candle performance and safety. Little Brown Goose Soy Candles are handmade in Geelong, Victoria, using soy wax, fragrance oil and 100% cotton wicks.

Before lighting your candle
- Remove external packaging or labels as directed.
- Place the candle upright on a stable, level and heat-resistant candle plate or suitable surface.
- Trim each cotton wick to approximately 6mm before lighting.
- Keep the wax free from matches, wick trimmings and other debris.
- Keep the candle away from children, pets, draughts, electrical appliances and flammable materials.
The Mini candle has one cotton wick. The Large candle has two cotton wicks, so check and trim both before use.
While the candle is burning
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Do not burn on or near flammable, porous or heat-sensitive surfaces.
- Do not move the candle while it is lit or while the wax is hot.
- Keep it away from curtains, paper, bedding, furniture, open windows, fans and strong air movement.
- Do not allow the flame to burn against the glass.
- Do not burn a Little Brown Goose candle for more than three hours at a time.
How to extinguish the candle
Use a candle snuffer where possible. Allow the wax and container to cool completely before touching or moving the candle. Do not use the candle lid to extinguish the flame.
When to stop using the candle
Stop using the candle when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom. Continuing to burn below this level can overheat the container.
Approximate burn times
The Mini contains 100g of wax and provides approximately 25 hours of burn time. The Large contains 285g, has two cotton wicks and provides approximately 50 hours. Burn times are estimates and can vary depending on placement, wick care, burn duration and surrounding conditions.
